Envoy 7 Distributable Viewer Release Notes
Rev. April 17, 1997
=================================================================
These release notes contain the latest product information for the Envoy (TM)
7 Distributable Viewer for Windows.
IMPORTANT: The Envoy Distributable Viewer only lets you view and annotate
existing Envoy files. In order to create or publish Envoy files, you must
have the Envoy 7 Driver.
=================================================================
TABLE OF CONTENTS
This file is organized into the following sections:
1. System Requirements for the Envoy 7 Distributable Viewer
2. Installation
3. General Troubleshooting
4. File Descriptions
5. Switching Languages for the Envoy 7 Distributable Viewer
=================================================================
1. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ENVOY 7 DISTRIBUTABLE VIEWER
To run the applications in Corel WordPerfect Suite 8, you need the following:
- Personal computer with 386DX processor (486 recommended)
- Microsoft(R) Windows 95 or Windows NT
- 8 MB RAM (16 MB recommended)
- Hard disk space*:
- Envoy Distributable Viewer only: 3 MB
- VGA Graphics Adapter and monitor
- Mouse
* Disk space requirements vary according to the sector size of
the hard disk. The Setup program indicates the correct figure
for your destination disk.
=================================================================
2. INSTALLATION
The shipping version of Envoy includes an installation program (DVSETUP7.EXE)
that creates a distributable copy of the Envoy Viewer. It copies all the Envoy
Distributable Viewer files to a location you specify (for example, to your
hard drive). Run the DVSETUP7.EXE program again from that location to install
the Envoy Viewer to other locations (for example, to a network folder with the
Envoy files you want to distribute).
1. On Windows 95 or Windows NT, run DVSETUP7.EXE (for example,
C:\Corel\suite8\Envoy\Dvsetup7.exe).
2. Follow the on-screen prompts.
=================================================================
3. GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING
Some features on the Envoy Distributable Viewer are dimmed (or grayed). These
may be features that function in the full Envoy product but not in the
Distributable Viewer. See "About the Envoy Distributable Viewer" in online
Help for more information about features in the Distributable Viewer and in
the full Envoy product.
