  6. These release notes contain the latest product information for the Envoy (TM)
  7. 7 Distributable Viewer for Windows.

  9. IMPORTANT:  The Envoy Distributable Viewer only lets you view and annotate
  10. existing Envoy files.  In order to create or publish Envoy files, you must
  11. have the Envoy 7 Driver.

  25. 1.   SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ENVOY 7 DISTRIBUTABLE VIEWER

  27. To run the applications in Corel WordPerfect Suite 8, you need the following: 
  28.  
  29.      - Personal computer with 386DX processor (486 recommended)
  30.      - Microsoft(R) Windows 95 or Windows NT
  31.      - 8 MB RAM (16 MB recommended)
  32.      - Hard disk space*:
  33.          - Envoy Distributable Viewer only: 3 MB
  34.      - VGA Graphics Adapter and monitor
  35.      - Mouse

  37. * Disk space requirements vary according to the sector size of
  38.   the hard disk.  The Setup program indicates the correct figure
  39.   for your destination disk.

  43. 2.   INSTALLATION
  44.  
  45. The shipping version of Envoy includes an installation program (DVSETUP7.EXE)
  46. that creates a distributable copy of the Envoy Viewer. It copies all the Envoy
  47. Distributable Viewer files to a location you specify (for example, to your
  48. hard drive).  Run the DVSETUP7.EXE program again from that location to install
  49. the Envoy Viewer to other locations (for example, to a network folder with the
  50. Envoy files you want to distribute).

  52. 1.   On Windows 95 or Windows NT, run DVSETUP7.EXE (for example,             
  53.      C:\Corel\suite8\Envoy\Dvsetup7.exe).

  55. 2.   Follow the on-screen prompts.

  58. 3.   GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING
  59.  
  60. Some features on the Envoy Distributable Viewer are dimmed (or grayed).  These
  61. may be features that function in the full Envoy product but not in the
  62. Distributable Viewer.  See "About the Envoy Distributable Viewer" in online
  63. Help for more information about features in the Distributable Viewer and in
  64. the full Envoy product.

  68. 4.  FILE DESCRIPTIONS

  70. Dvsetup7.exe installs the following files in the SUITE8\ENVOY folder:

  72. DVSETUP7.EXE:  The Envoy Distributable Viewer program file   
  73. ENVOY.REG:  The Windows registration file for the Envoy Distributable
  74. Viewer
  75. ENVOY7.EXE:  The Envoy Distributable Viewer
  76. EVYDSTXX.TXT:  Release notes for the Distributable Viewer (this file).  (XX
  77. stands for a language code.  Several languages may be installed.)
  78. EVYLCDXX.TXT:  The Envoy licensing agreement.  (XX stands for a language code. 
  79. Several languages may be installed.)

  81. In the SUITE8\ENVOY\SYSTEM folder:
  82. DVRES7XX.DLL:  The Envoy Distributable Viewer resources. (XX stands for a
  83. language code.  Several languages may be installed.)
  84. ENVOY7.EX_:  The Envoy 7 Viewer, compressed for runtime files.
  85. EVYPKG7:  The packager file required to create a runtime file. 
  86. EVYR7XX.HL_:  The Envoy 7 Runtime Viewer help file, compressed. (XX stands for a
  87. language code.  Several languages may be installed.)
  88. EVY7XX.DL_:  The Envoy Distributable Viewer language resources before
  89. decompression.  This file becomes decompressed when a recipient opens the
  90. Distributable Viewer.  (XX stands for a language code.  Several languages may
  91. be installed.)
  92. EVY7XX.DLL:  The Envoy Viewer language resources. (XX stands for a language
  93. code.  Several languages may be installed.)
  94. EVYXH7.DLL:  A file needed to create Web Links
  95. EVYXH7XX.DLL:  Language resources for EVYXH7.DLL. (XX stands for a language
  96. code.  Several languages may be installed.)
  97. EVYGW7.EXE:  A file that makes it possible to send Envoy files using GroupWise
  98. e-mail

  100. In the SUITE8\SHARED\HELP folder:
  101. EVY7XX.CNT:  The Contents page for the Help file. (XX stands for a language
  102. code.  Several languages may be installed.)
  103. EVY7XX.HLP:  The Envoy online Help file. (XX stands for a language code. 
  104. Several languages may be installed.)

  106. In the SUITE8\PROGRAMS folder:
  107. BRSWEBXX.DLL:  A file needed to browse the World Wide Web and use Corel Web Site.
  108. BRWSWBXX.DLL:  Language resources for BRSWEBXX.DLL. (XX stands for a language
  109. code.  Several languages may be installed.)

  111. In the WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder:
  112. EVYSH7.DLL: Windows shell extension
  113. EVYSH7XX.DLL: The language resource file for EVYSH7.DLL. (XX stands for a
  114. language code.  Several languages may be installed.

  117. 5.  SWITCHING LANGUAGES FOR THE ENVOY 7 VIEWER
  118. If you have installed more than one language for Envoy and you 
  119. want to switch often between languages, you can use the /L=? 
  120. startup option. This option brings up the language dialog box 
  121. every time you start the Envoy 7 Viewer.  To use this option,
  122.  
  123. 1.  Right-click the Start button on the Windows taskbar, then 
  124. click Open.
  125.  
  126. 2.  Double-click Corel WordPerfect Suite 8.
  127.  
  128. 3.  Double-click Tools, then right-click Envoy 7 Viewer, then click Properties.
  129.  
  130. 4.  Click the Shortcut tab.
  131.  
  132. 5.  In the Target text box, type the path where you have 
  133. installed Envoy 7, then add a space and /L=? to the end. For 
  134. example: 
  135.         C:\Corel\Suite8\Envoy\Envoy7.exe /L=?
